I was converted in my late 30's and attended my local church in Droylsden, Manchester. Over time I became a church member, deacon and treasurer. Practically I felt equipped for serving the Lord, however, I had a yearning to grow spiritually and sought some type of ministry course that I could manage whilst still being able to work.

My wife had just finished her degree course and in God’s perfect timing an envelope arrived through the church letter box containing details of the Christian Ministry Training Course. After some research I signed up for 4 years of what I would describe as a stimulating, challenging and especially practically helpful.

It covers many aspects of theology, Biblical studies, and many pastoral issues. It also has a strong emphasis of looking after one’s self, family and well being.

I am not particularly academic, though with God’s grace I was able to complete the course. I now feel better equipped to preach and teach within the church. In particular it allows me to help other Christians within the fellowship.

This course can be a real help to any Christian who seeks to grow, although not necessarily aspire to church leadership. I would encourage anyone contemplating this course to go for it.

The lectures are interesting, assignments challenging and the residentials provide an opportunity to meet fellow students, making friends for life as well as eternity.
